Serendib Leisure Hotels win TripAdvisor Certificates of Excellence

Serendib Leisure hotels are celebrating after receiving prestigious TripAdvisor Certificates of Excellence. Now in their seventh year, the TripAdvisor awards celebrate hospitality excellence and are given only to establishments which consistently achieve outstanding reviews.

For the seventh consecutive year, Club Hotel Dolphin and Hotel Sigiriya received the certificate in recognition of their consistent delivery of highly personalised services to guests. AVANI Kalutara Resort was honoured for the third time in a row and AVANI Bentota Resort & Spa – welcomed the certificate for the third time.

The Certificate of Excellence is hot on the heels of AVANI Bentota Resort & Spa and AVANI Kalutara Resort being recognized as the ‘Travellers’ Choice 2017′ (based on the quality and quantity of reviews from travelers); while Club Hotel Dolphin and Hotel Sigiriya were welcomed into the ‘Certificate of Excellence Hall of Fame in 2015’. This unique accolade is only granted to businesses that have won the Certificate of Excellence for five years in a row.

When selecting the recipients of a Certificate of Excellence, TripAdvisor takes into account the quality, quantity and recency of reviews and opinions submitted by travellers over a 12-month period. Additional criteria include the business’s tenure and ranking on the popularity index of the site.

To qualify for the award, a business must maintain an overall TripAdvisor rating of at least four out of five, have a minimum number of reviews and must have been listed on TripAdvisor for at least 12 months.
