French pop meets Sri Lanka with Charles-Baptiste at Sugar 41 Colombo

The 28th of June at Sugar 41 you have the opportunity to assist not only to the concert of the famous French pop singer Charles-Baptiste, but also to his DJ set.

Logo_FSF2017With his notable glasses and his flawless suits, Charles Baptiste gathers the well-known dandy-style with a quirky pop music. He celebrates joy and wants his work to be meaningful to every generation. This desire can be seen especially during his DJ sets where he mixes all kind of French Pop from the 1980’s with Serge Gainsbourg to the more recent artists like Stromae.

Charles-Baptiste has already participated to 150 concerts, from prestigious openings ((Juliette Gréco, Bénabar, Jacques Higelin, Michel Delpech, etc), to international festivals and worldwide tours (Canada, Myanmar, South Korea, China, Mongolia, etc) with the most recent one in Sri Lanka!

Poster_FSF2017Born in France at Oloron-Sainte-Marie, Charles-Baptiste starts music with the traditional piano lessons. He becomes passionate about French music, pop, jazz and classical music and moves to Paris to fulfill his dream. And it works!

He is discovered during a regional festival “Chantier des Francofolies” of La Rochelle. Finally he signs with the Mercury / Universal label, while his popularity grows faster with his adaptation of the song “Get Lucky” of Daft Punk.

Thus, the French Spring Festival is proud to introduce an artist with a genuine artistic personality between French tradition and music innovation the 28th of June at Sugar 41.
